IRC Engineering Services India Pvt. Ltd. (IRCE) is committed to supplying services of thehighest quality standards, backed by efficient team consistent with the requirements of thecustomers to ensure their total satisfaction. The quality standards of the company’s servicesshould meet the required national standards, and the company strives to achieveinternational standards
National interest
IRCE is committed in all its actions to benefit the economic development of the countries inwhich it operates. IRCE shall conduct its business affairs in accordance with the economic,development and foreign policies, objectives and priorities of the nation’s government.
Financial reporting and records
IRCE shall prepare and maintain its accounts fairly and accurately in accordance with theaccounting and financial reporting standards which represent the generally acceptedguidelines, principles, standards, laws and regulations of the country in which the companyconducts its business affairs.
Competition
IRCE shall strive for the establishment and support of a competitive, open market economyin India and abroad. IRCE shall not engage in activities that generate or support theformation of monopolies, dominant market positions, cartels and similar unfair tradepractices.
IRCE shall market its services on its own merits and shall not make unfair and misleadingstatements about competitors’ services.
Equal-opportunities employer
IRCE shall provide equal opportunities to all its employees and all qualified applicants foremployment, without regard to their race, caste, religion, colour, ancestry, marital status,sex, age, nationality and disability. Employee policies and practices shall be administered ina manner that ensures that in all matters equal opportunity is provided to those eligible andthat decisions are based on merit.
Gifts and donations
IRCE and its employees shall neither receive nor offer or make, directly or indirectly, anyillegal payments, remuneration, gifts, donations or comparable benefits which are intendedto or perceived to obtain business or uncompetitive favours for the conduct of its business.However, IRCE and its employees may accept and offer nominal gifts, which are customarilygiven and are of a commemorative nature, for special events.
Government agencies
IRCE and its employees shall not offer any company funds as donation to any governmentagencies, through any channels in order to obtain any undue favour from any official.
Political non-alignment
IRCE shall be committed to and support a functioning democratic constitution and systemwith a transparent and fair electoral system in India. IRCE shall not support, directly orindirectly, any specific political party or candidate for political office. The company shall notoffer or give any company funds or property as donations, directly or indirectly, to anyspecific political party, candidate or campaign.
Health, safety and environment
IRCE shall strive to provide a safe and healthy working environment and comply, in theconduct of its business affairs, with all regulations regarding the preservation of theenvironment of the territory it operates in.
Third-party representation
Parties which have business dealings with the IRCE (For example Freelance Inspectors)shall not be authorized to represent IRCE if their conduct and ethics are known to beinconsistent with this code.
Regulatory compliance
Every employee of IRCE shall, in his or her business conduct, comply with all applicablelaws and regulations, both in letter and in spirit, in all the territories in which he or sheoperates. If the ethical and professional standards set out in the applicable laws andregulations are below that of the code, then the standards of the code shall prevail.
Concurrent employment
An employee of IRCE shall not, without the prior approval of the managing director of thecompany, accept concurrent employment or a position of responsibility (such as a consultantor a director) with any other company, nor provide ‘freelance’ services to anyone. In the caseof a whole-time director or the managing director, prior approval must be obtained forproviding such services from the board of directors of the company.
Conflict of interest
An employee of IRCE shall not engage in any business, relationship or activity which mightdetrimentally conflict with the interest of his company. A conflict of interest, actual orpotential, may arise where, directly or indirectly:
- an employee of IRCE engages in a business, relationship or activity with anyone whois party to a transaction with his or her company;
- an employee is in a position to derive a personal benefit or a benefit to any of his orher relatives by making or influencing decisions relating to any transaction;
- an independent judgement of the company’s best interest cannot be exercised.
NDA
Confidentiality of Data, Information gathered during inspection, information obtained from other than the client (e.g. complainant, regulators)and while rendering any otherservices shall be kept confidential. All representatives acting on behalf of IRCE shall informthe client, in advance, of the information it intends to place in the public domain
Protecting company assets
The assets of IRCE shall be employed for the purpose of conducting the business for whichthey are duly authorized. These include tangible assets such as equipment and machinery,systems, facilities, and resources as well as intangible assets such as proprietaryinformation, relationships with customers and suppliers, etc.
Integrity of Information
Every employee of IRCE shall ensure, at all times, the integrity of information furnished byhim or her to the company.
Reporting concerns
Every employee of IRCE shall promptly report to the management any actual or possibleviolation of this code, or an event he or she becomes aware of that could affect the businessor reputation IRCE.
Ethical conduct
Every employee of IRCE, including whole-time directors and the managing director, shalldeal on behalf of the company with professionalism, honesty and integrity, as well as highmoral and ethical standards. Such conduct shall be fair and transparent and be perceived tobe as such by third parties.
