A single undetected crack, a hidden pocket of corrosion or a wrong alloy can turn a routine shutdown into a costly failure. IRC Engineering Services helps industries find these risks early.
We began in 1995 as a small industrial radiography company. Today we are an asset integrity partner for power plants, refineries, fertiliser units, pipelines and process industries across India, Africa and the Middle East. Our services include Conventional and Advanced NDT, an in-house NABL- and IBR-accredited laboratory, residual life assessment, failure investigation, fitness-for-service studies and third-party inspection.
Our team of 150+ engineers and scientists includes power plant specialists and ASNT Level II and III certified inspectors. Our group leaders come from NTPC and BHEL.
Accredited in-house laboratory
Radiography, UT, MT, PT, PMI, oxide scale measurement, hardness testing, videoscope and borescope inspection, and more.
PAUT, TOFD, LRUT, pulsed eddy current, EMAT, ACFM, digital radiography, tube inspection (ECT, RFET, IRIS, MFL), tank floor and pipeline MFL, and HydroForm corrosion mapping.
ULTRA-Bot and ORBIT for boiler water wall inspection, laser scanning, automatic defect recognition, the Inspection Data Management System (IDMS) and digital twins of plants.
Risk Based Inspection, Residual Life Assessment of boilers and turbines, fitness for service, failure investigation and API 653 storage tank inspection.
Mechanical, chemical and metallurgical testing, including tensile, bend, Charpy, hardness, spectro analysis and welding procedure qualification.
Third-party inspection, API and non-API inspectors for shutdowns, rope access, and NDT training.
Since 1995, a few simple principles have guided every inspection we carry out.
When a plant depends on our findings, there is no room for guesswork. These values shape how we work with our clients, our people and our data.
We report what we find, exactly as we find it. Our results are backed by accredited processes, calibrated equipment and annual ISO 17025 audits, so you can rely on them when you decide whether to run, repair or replace.
No inspection is worth risking a life. We follow strict safety practices on site and in the lab, and we offer radiation-free inspection methods wherever the job allows.
Our engineers and scientists include ASNT Level II and III certified inspectors and power plant specialists. We keep learning, from conventional radiography to PAUT, TOFD, robotics and digital inspection, so our clients get the right method for the problem.
We don’t see ourselves as a vendor who delivers a report and leaves. For nearly three decades, power plants, refineries and process industries have trusted us as long-term partners. We listen first, understand your plant and plan around your shutdown schedule.
Shutdown time is costly. We mobilise quickly, work efficiently and deliver findings that your team can act on straight away.
We adopt new technology only when it makes plants safer or inspections faster. Examples are boiler wall inspection robots, automatic defect recognition and digital twins.
We take ownership of our work and treat clients, colleagues and communities with fairness and respect. We build careers by training and developing our people, because skilled and motivated teams deliver better results.

We offer Conventional and Advanced NDT, robotics and digital inspection, asset integrity and life assessment, mechanical, chemical and metallurgical testing in our laboratory, third-party inspection, rope access and NDT training.
Conventional NDT covers methods such as radiography, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing and liquid penetrant testing. Advanced NDT includes techniques such as PAUT, TOFD, long range ultrasonic testing, pulsed eddy current, digital radiography and corrosion mapping. These give more detailed and more accurate results, especially for complex or hard-to-reach components.
RLA is a study that estimates how much safe operating life remains in equipment such as boilers and turbines. It helps you plan repairs and replacements before a failure happens.
Yes. We carry out failure investigations to find the root cause so that it does not happen again.
Yes. We provide boiler inspection, including robotic water wall inspection, and supply API and non-API inspectors for shutdowns.
Yes, in many cases. Several of our inspection methods involve no radiation and can reduce shutdown time because other work can continue nearby.
Our laboratory is accredited by NABL and IBR. It is also recognised by the Central Boiler Board, the Chief Controller of Explosives (PESO) and the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board.
We perform tensile, bend, Charpy and hardness tests, spectro analysis, and welding procedure qualification, along with other mechanical, chemical and metallurgical tests.
Both. We can handle a single inspection or build a long-term integrity programme for your plant.
We aim for fast turnaround and clear findings that your team can act on. Timelines depend on the scope of work, so please contact us with your requirements.
Yes, we offer NDT training.
Use the Contact Us form or call us with details of your plant, the inspection you need and your shutdown dates. Our team will get back to you.
Whether you need a one-time inspection or a long-term integrity programme, our team is ready to help.
